yeah I too had a c-toma, mis diagnosed by military doc's & Intergis Baptist hospital, for 7 years, complaints of ear bleeding , dizzy spells, black outs, then falls, they all said oh you have a cyst on your ear drum, well I went to Europe they fianly did a CT scan then an MRI , , didnt know the extent of the tumor,it was the size of a Lemon !! there for it had eroded to my facial nerves and taste bud nerve, it was the size of a lemon, They gutted out my ear and semi circular canal, and it was atached to my ear drum, I am now 100% deaf in my left ear, so then, I sued the army and the air force for medical malpractice, I won !!!then come to find out 4 years later i had another one in my Right ear , smaller , about a dime size I think, that Cedars Sinai had mis diagnosed 6 mths prior and never saw, after several CT scans, so now i had anoter surgery which now I have more of a hearing loss in my right ear , I am almost completly Deaf, at 30 yrs old .these things can be deadly , they eat threw bone, if you have ear problems go the an ENT , a well known one, who is not just a ENT make sure they are ENT , F.A.C.S.I have had vasticular therapy, and been to a neuroligist. i have permmant Vertigo and cannot get dissabilty , because socia l security doesnt recognise this condition as a dissability !!now 4 more year later, I am back in the Ct scans again and MRI, because they think, I have another one and it might have eaten its way threw to my Labrinth.these things have changed my life significantly .but always get 2 or 3 opinions .its scary, because if they eat threw the bone to your brain they could be cancerous also, and they do grow back, depending on how they remove them .and a Choelestoma looks like a pearl on the inside of your ear , and your ear will bleed or you will be dizzy. mine did, and its not a cyst , dont let them fool you, get an ENT !!!!because I gurantee I take advantage of being able to hear my baby cry while I can.
